These Amole Bet football betting rules explain how football bets may be settled for pre-match and live events. They cover 90 minutes, extra time, penalty shootouts, cancelled matches, postponements, odds changes, VAR decisions, and selected special markets. Before placing a bet, check the market name, event status, time period and any conditions shown in your bet slip. Where a specific market rule differs from a general description on this page, the conditions displayed for that market apply.
Amole Bet aims to settle football bets according to published market rules and official event data. For the full contractual rules that apply to your account and bets, please read the Terms and Conditions.
Football betting rules at Amole Bet
Football betting settlement rules depend on the market selected. A market called “Match Result – 90 Minutes” is different from “To Qualify” or “Winner of Tie.” The result of a match can also differ from the result of a tournament tie after extra time or penalties.
Terms used on this page have the following general meaning:
- 90 minutes: two regular halves plus referee-added stoppage time.
- Stoppage time / added time: time added by the referee at the end of either half.
- Extra time: additional playing time after the regular 90 minutes in certain knockout matches.
- Penalty shootout: kicks taken to decide a winner after a draw, usually after extra time where applicable.
- Void bet: a bet cancelled under the applicable rules, normally with the stake returned. The exact outcome depends on the relevant market rules.
Standard settlement time: 90 minutes
For most football markets, settlement is based on 90 minutes of play plus referee-added stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included unless the market name or its specific rules clearly state otherwise.
This is the standard approach for many common 90 minutes football betting markets, including:
- Match Result / 1X2
- Double Chance
- Total Goals
- Handicap
- Both Teams to Score
For example, if a match is 1–1 after regular time and one team later wins in extra time, a 1X2 bet is normally settled from the 1–1 score when the market is clearly marked as 90 minutes. Stoppage-time goals count because they occur within the regular match period. Goals scored in extra time do not count for that market.
When extra time counts
Extra time football betting applies only where the market expressly includes it. Check for wording such as “including extra time,” “to qualify,” “winner of tie,” “team to lift the trophy,” or “outright winner.” These markets may use the final outcome of the tie or competition rather than the score after 90 minutes.
A “To Qualify” market may include extra time and a penalty shootout if the market rules state this. An outright winner market may be settled from the official competition outcome. These are not the same as a standard Match Result market. Never assume that extra time counts simply because the competition is a knockout competition.
How penalties are settled
It is important to distinguish a penalty kick awarded during play from a penalty shootout.
- A penalty during the match: a normal match event. If converted, it may count as a goal when the selected market includes that period of play.
- A penalty shootout: a tie-break procedure after the match period. Shootout kicks usually do not count as match goals for 90-minute totals, handicaps, Both Teams to Score, or Match Result markets.
The penalty shootout result may count for markets such as “To Qualify,” “Winner of Tie,” or “Team to Lift the Trophy,” where this is stated in the market rules. For penalty shootout betting rules, always read the market description before confirming the bet.
Cancelled, postponed and abandoned matches
A cancelled football match bet, postponed football match betting market, or abandoned fixture may be handled differently depending on the event, market and applicable Amole Bet rules. The settlement period for a rescheduled or completed match should be confirmed in the relevant market rules and the Terms and Conditions.
- Cancelled before kick-off: if a match does not take place, affected bets may be void unless another applicable rule applies.
- Postponed before kick-off: bets may remain active if the event is played within the time period set out in the applicable rules; otherwise, they may be void.
- Abandoned after kick-off: bets may be void if the match is not completed within the relevant period, except for markets whose outcome was already unambiguously determined before the interruption, where permitted by the specific rules.
- Completed later: settlement may be based on the completed official result if the event resumes or is replayed within the applicable settlement period.
- Official result changed: a result correction may be handled under the Terms and Conditions and official data procedures.
- Incorrect event details: obvious errors involving teams, dates, competitions or markets may lead to correction, cancellation or voiding in line with the applicable rules.
Do not assume that every interrupted event results in an automatic refund. Check the specific market rules and contact support if you need help with an individual football betting void or settlement question.
Live football betting settlement
Live football betting rules reflect the fast-changing nature of an event. Prices, match statistics and market availability can change within seconds. A live bet is not final until it is accepted and confirmed in the bet slip.
A goal, red card, VAR review, penalty award, dangerous attack, injury delay or other significant event can cause a market to be suspended. During this time, a submitted bet may remain pending, be accepted at updated odds where available, or be rejected. A market suspension is used to allow event information to be reviewed before betting resumes.
Visit Amole Bet live for currently available live markets. When placing in-play bets, review the selection, stake and odds shown in your bet slip before confirmation.
Odds changes and bet confirmation
Football odds can change before a pre-match bet is accepted and especially during live play. The odds shown when you first select a market are not necessarily the final odds for your bet. If the price changes before acceptance, the system may offer an updated price or reject the request.
Your accepted bet confirmation shows the odds and stake used for settlement. Check the bet slip carefully, particularly for live football markets, where a short delay can affect price and availability. Amole Bet does not state that every requested bet will be accepted.
VAR, official data and result corrections
VAR decisions can change whether a goal, penalty, red card or other event is confirmed. A goal shown briefly in a live score may later be disallowed, while an event may be awarded after review. Markets can be suspended while these decisions are being confirmed.
Football bet settlement is based on the applicable market rules and confirmed official event data. If an official source corrects a result after initial settlement, Amole Bet may review the affected bets in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. This may include corrections to scorers, cards, corners, final scores or match status where the rules allow.
Player, cards and corners markets
Special football markets may have conditions that differ from standard result markets. Read the individual market rules before placing a bet.
- Player markets: availability, participation and settlement can depend on whether a player takes part in the match. Check the market rules for non-starter or non-participant situations.
- Goalscorer markets: own goals are normally not credited to a player as a scorer unless the relevant market rules say otherwise.
- Cards markets: the treatment of cards shown to players, substitutes, coaches or other team officials depends on the specific market rules.
- Corners markets: settlement is generally based on officially awarded corners. A corner that is not officially recorded may not count.
For all player markets, cards and corners, check the specific market rules before placing a bet. Market wording is particularly important where a selection refers to a half, a time period, a named player, or a team statistic.
Examples of football bet settlement
- Scenario: A match ends 1–1 after 90 minutes. Team A scores in extra time and wins.
- Settlement: A 1X2 bet on Team A loses if the market was settled on 90 minutes.
- Scenario: A match is 0–0 after extra time, and Team B wins the penalty shootout.
- Settlement: A Total Goals Over 0.5 bet for 90 minutes loses when shootout kicks are not included.
- Scenario: A fixture is cancelled before kick-off.
- Settlement: The affected bet may be void, subject to the relevant event and market rules.
- Scenario: A live bet is submitted while VAR is reviewing a possible goal.
- Settlement: The request may remain pending, be accepted at updated odds, or be rejected after the market is reviewed.
- Scenario: A bet is placed on Team A “To Qualify.”
- Settlement: Extra time and penalties may count if the market wording and rules state that qualification is determined by the final tie outcome.
Responsible football betting
Football betting should be entertainment, not a way to earn income or solve financial problems. Consider setting limits on time and spending, taking a break when betting no longer feels comfortable, or using self-exclusion tools where available. Read Responsible Gaming for support options and review the Age Restriction Policy before using betting services.
